runways and no new hangars had been built over the past 15 months. There
wasrhowever, a considerable increase in the number of buildings erected around
the airfield, most of `which appeared to be dwelling houses.
20 Great progress had been made in rebuilding Minsk. There were a number of new
factory buildings and many new dwelling houses. Most of the latter were large,
Swedish-type houses. There was no sign of the construction of large apartment
hbuses or tall buildings.
