',eIalter Stein, supervisor of the laboratory work. d. Int. Gerhard Kattner. d. Ing. Gisela Pilat. 2. Under Steints supervision, the DECCA receiver is now under laboratory construction. The receiver consists of an input stage from which five circuits for five DECCA frequencies branch off. Every circuit~,iheads from the input stage to a quartz filter, an amplifier, a rectifier, and from there to a decometer. 3? CLASSIFICATION SECRET Approved For Release 2007/06/14: CIA-RDP80-0081 OA004500840009-4 In late 1tiiay 1954 the filter quartzes to be used in the receiver arrived from VEB Carl Zeiss, Jena. InMs. Kattner and Pilat are working on the mounting of the filters. The filters are to separate the five D:CCA frequencies which are received together in the input stage and to lead them -separately to the decometers. Ing. Stein is working on the mounting of the input stage. Development of a decometer by PEir`in Berlin70bcrschoeneweide is still in its initial stage. In late .Lay 1954, l~'E~`.erPfi:~.e informed Funkwerk Koepenick that the amount of 10,000 DBE allowed for this development was too small and that the development would be discontinued until more funds had been made available. After a promise for more funds was given EFEM, the latter enterprise resumed its decometer development on 1 June 1954.
