Petw'een 0800 and 1500 on 20 May 1954, 24 MiG-15s, 3 biplanes and 2 silvery L`-2s were parked at Aspern (P 49/33 U: XP 1142) airfield. There was a 5/10 overcast at an altitude of about 1,000 meters, a northwesterly wind of about 15 lcn/h, and very good visibility. No air activity was ,conducted. Two opposite masts of the PKV-45 DF station were located parallel to the runway, while the two other masts were at a right an4e to the runwway. The small cone-shaped antenna with disc 25X1 was still located on the roof of the flight control building. An anemometer was fitted next to it. The old measuring device was still observed on a mast, which was :Located at some distance from the flight control Station. Two wires extended from the mast to the flight control building, The AA gun emr lacements were occupied by 6 x 37-m AA guns. 2.
