1. The Stropole (N 42-50, Z 24-00) Zlatitsa (N 42-43, S 24.09) road through
Zlotitsa Pass, which was almost impassable three years ago, has been repaired.
it is now in a eaediocree state, but is usable. The route is very winding,
with steep grades. The roadway is no more than three to four meters wide.
From. a military point of vier, this road could be no more than an aTO.liary
means of crossing the Balkans.
Hain Road No. 8 - 24 Nay 1954
2. The rasana+r-(H 42-37, 8 25-24) - Stara Zagora (N 42-25, S 25-38) road is in
a rather good condition. It has a gravel surface and a roadway width of five
meters.

The section of the Plovdiv - lovo (N 42-37, Z 21x49, now Levsld.grad) road
barest Plovdiv and Trod (siatis paved and is in good condition. Between
Trud and Banya (N 42-32, 1 24:50), the road has a gravel surface and is in only
fair condition. The roadway width of the paved section is six meters and that
of the gravelled section is five meters.
