1. At the point where the two roads starting from the Svilengrad railroad station
join to run into Svilengrad, at x 41-46, E 26-09, and about 10 meters south of
this place are located two buildings facing each other. These are explosive
depots and are identical 1-story buildings, about 20 x 4 meters in sins, and
about Was meters high, painted to blend with the landscape and roofed with
yellowish tile, without windows and ohimnsys, and with one wooden door.

3. in 1949, when the Maritsa River was frozen over, creating a peril for the

4. In addition to the two buildings mentioned above, in the depot area there is
also a small wooden barracks, about 8 x 2 meters in size used as quarters
for the guard force of the depots. this force con- 25X1
sisted of 10 soldiers and 2 officers.'
5. A day and night guard post is located in front of the buildings. In addition,
every day soldiers go out to conceal themselves at a location about 300-400
meters northeast of the depots at a bunker located above-ground.
7. From the summer of 1951 until March 1952,'in the corner formed by the inter-
section of the two roads coming from the Svilenprad railroad station, opposite
the munitions depot in position a small antiaircraft gun (type 25X1
unknown), set on a special gun mount about four meters in diameter, and re-
inforced with Barth about 50 centimeters thick, and camouflaged with foliage.
8. During this same perio three other similar guns, manned by three 25X1
soldiers and aimed in the direction of the aunitibns depots from the bunker. At
that time, the number of soldiers around the munitions depots was increased,
nines some of the men manned the casemates located almost directly at the gun
positions.
