are concentrated in one part of tom, namely on the rest side of the first
intersection south of the bridge over the Maritsa River, on the Istanbul
Highway.
2. In 1949-1950, at this location, approximately 100 meters south of the Istanbul
Highway a new 4-story building, approximately 50 x 20 meters in size, painted
a bright red and roofed with red Marseilles tile, was constructed. The building
is known around the area as "the red house."
3. In this building are quartered the Okoliya administration of the MVR (Ministerstvo
na Viltreshnite Raboti; Ministry of Internal Affairs); the DS (DUrzhavno Sigurnost;
State Security), and several other services.
4. Adjacent to this building, toward the Maritsa River bridge is located a 2-story
masonry building about 30-40 x 10 meters in size, painted yellow, and roofed with
red Marseilles tiles. This building is occupied by the Militia administration
of Svilengrad.
