1. On 1 June 19541 1,000 Echo-Boren had been in storage at flB Funkwerk
aoepenick (RFT) for over a year. The plant has no authority to dispose
of them or use them. The quality and performance of a radar apparatus
can be measured with an Echo-Box.
2. The plant will test its first radar apparatus for ships during the
surnmir of 1954 in the Baltic Sea. This-apparatus was developed by
highefrequenoy apsoiLlists iJilhelx Grinnl, Dr. Erich Schuettloeffel.,
and Heinz Xunte'. All three of these specialists are returnees from
the USSR.
