of a skilled supervisor of the development. In 1953, the project had been
supervised by G. Hintze who later was made chief of Department TEL% In early
June 1954, the "USA development was resumed in Deoartr.uent I-,"] with Ind.
Stumpff (fnu) in charge of direct supervision.
2. The development of the antennae for the L.-USA project has been carried out
in Department TEA under Dr. Erich Schuettloeffel. At the end of 1953, the
antenna for the small LTUSA installation was completely built, whereas the
one for the big ''.'USA installation was not yet under construction. Construc-
tion of this antenna is now being" carried out in Department TEA. 3tumpff,

be replaced in 1954 by automatic phase retuning.
