RD REFERENCES REPORTI DATE DISTR. 12 Atgust 1954 THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. (FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) 2. The Schwechat refinery is under orders from the Soviet Oil Administration (SIVIV) to produce 450 tons of the new product. SMV shipped a tank car from Schwechat to Korneuburg, where the liquid was to be combined with other ingredients to form the jet fuel. 3. The end use of the product i3 not generally known at the refinery. (NOTE: Washington distribution indicated by "X"t Field distribution by "#'".) 1. Production of a component for a new jet fuel was observed at the Schwechat refinery. The product is a white liquid, is made from Aderklaa crude oil, smells like kerosene and has the following specifications: a. density: .774 at 15 degrees Centigrade; b. first boiling point: 140 degrees Centigrade; c. flash point: 30 degrees Centigrade; d. end vapor point: 240 degrees Centigrade.
