General Grechko's Extravagance: Local residents are upset over the extravagance of General Grechl-o, largely because between 22 February and the end of April he had the theate- in the house at 165 Zerndorfer Strasse expensively and completely redecorated three times. The original extimated cost was 4,000 eastmarks but the actual post to date is 20,000 eastmarks. The first color scheme was blue plush. This was replaced by golf filigree, and is now being done over with fresco. The original furniture of red plush chairs has now been replaced by different ones. The front of his own house, number 187, had to be completely redecorated within 48 hours on 6 May.
