At Tisovec (N 48-41, E 19-57), three tracks were torn up by a gelatine explosive and communications were interrupted for two days, as the explosion shattered the switching mechanism in the south part of the station. 2. At 7,volen (N 48-35, E 19-08)9 three cars containing scrap iron which were destined for Banska Bystrica were derailed. Three persons were killed and 24 wounded by pieces of iron which were thrown more than 200 meters. The explosion occurred around 6 p.m., when the train to Slatina was in the station. 3. At Zilina, a derailment of the express train for Povazska Bystrica caused the death of five persons and wounded 50; the explosion occurred two kilometers from the station. Three percussion bombs had been placed on the tracks. The blow was not directed against the passenger train but against a long freight train which, among other cars carried five cars with munitions which were going to Raciborz (Ratibor)9 Poland. The five cars remained at the station of Povazska Bystrica for three days. At. Kosice, two oil transport cars were set afire; the fire was quickly controlled by" the use of fire extinguishers and firemen. This was the second act of sabotage against tank cars within 20 days.
