1. Compared to preceding years, Camp Kindel on Highway No 84 was about 25 to
30 percent occupied in July 1954, About 30 JS tanks or SP guns wore parked
south of the highway and north of Kuenkel-hof estate. In July, there were no
exercises such as had been observed in preceding years. , Between 1100 and
1130 on 22 July, firing, presumably of, artillery pieces* was hold at the
training grounds. At least 15 new barracks were under construction south of
Hainaer Forst and west of the Ettenhausen 4Yolfsbehringen road,, The new
buildings had a concrete basement and a winterized wooden superstructure
Other buildings were being erected north of the highway in the cast portion

During the first half of June, the training grounds was occupied by an
estimated 20 to 25 percent of the occupation of preceding years. Firing of

cars at the Eisenach freight' station. The train included six cars occupied
