1. On 4 August 1954, it was determined that the Soviet ordnance and
equipment depot southwest of the Biesenthal railroad station was
bisected by a fence. Soviet officers, EM and German workers were
searched for lighters and matches prior to entering the southern
section of the installation. About 50 x 85 mm AT guns, about 40 x 120-mm
mortars and about 200 ammunition boxes measuring 120 x 50 x 40 cm were
seen in this section. The motor pool of the depot included 8 trucks.
1 Dodge vehicle and 1 prime mover.
the armory formerly stationed in Finow under Major Bralazov (fnu);
a senior lieutenant who was previously identified in Finow was deputy.
The unit also included 5 officers and 30 EM. The ordnance and equipment
depot previously stationed in Finow was also stationed there. The
total occupation of the depot numbered 1 lieutenant colonel, 2majors,
10 to 12 other officers and about 100 EM.
2. On 5 and 10 August, about 100 to 150 mortars of 120 mum, 30 to 50 AT
guns of 85 mm and 3 M-13 rocket launchers were seen in the Soviet
ordnance and equipment depot at Biesenthal. 1

It is known that ordnance repair shops are available with
he ordnance an a ui ent depots of the armies.
(Major
Bralazov (fnu) is head of the ordnance workshop. Contradictory information
on the number of 120-mm mortars available at the depot has been obtained.
The figure in paragraph 2 appears more probably since, according to
paragraph 3, 31 mortars from Satzkorn alone arrived at the depot. In
any case, the figure of 100 to 150 mortars at the depot in Biesenthal
is very interesting.
Comment. The volume of supply traffic of the Fourth Gds Mech Army
fuel depot at Biesenthal remained inchanged.
receiving units were the following:
Army troops of the Fourth Gds Mech Army
32d AAA Div
