T personnel entrance leads into a hall which, in its southwest corner, has a telephone booth (4). The hall extends in an aisle with an exit (5) to the courtyard. South of this aisle is the receptionist's office (6) and a 'room (7) for the receptionist. Another exit (8) leads into a second (9) adjacent to the first one, with a staircase leading into the upper stories. Another exit (10) leads from there into the courtyard. The staircase is bordered on the south by the visitors room (11) and on the north by the guard room (12) of the Volkspolizei guard. Visitors who enter the building through the ma} entrance and have passed the?recep- tionist's office will be checked credentials at entrance 8 before being let into the visitors' room 11). ' The northern part of the building is almost entirely occupied by two big halls: one hall (13) serves as the "Gr?at Cultural Hall" and at the same time as a dining mess; another hall (14) serves as the "Small Cultural Hall". Hall 13 is separated from the courtyard by an aisle with an exit (15) into the courtyard. Another staircase leads upstairs from this aisle.
