No twin-jet 25X1 aircraft were. seen. There was no air activity. 2, . About 0600 on 1.8 September, only 4 MG-15s and U-NiG-15s ware seen being parked at the northeastern end of the runway. At 0900, about 15 Jet fighters and 4 twin-jet aircraft, probably Il-28s, were parked in the northern section. of the field. An additional 8 canvas-covered aircraft were identified. About 0900, 1 11-28 or U-11-28 took off heading north. About half an hour later, another aircraft of the same type took off and headed north. While the aircraft crossed over the field they resembled those stationed at lerneuchen airfi.eld. About 14159 one 11-28 or U-I1--28 landed at the field. 25X1 3. There was intensive traffic by tank trucks between the area north of the adjusting stand and the airfield. It was believed that a fuel dump was located there.' 4, A Kniferest-type radar set, a Fishnet-type set and an individual radio mast, about 15 meters high;, were observed north cf the flight control station. A. radio installation of one mast was located in the extension of the runv..a.y, 25X1 about 200 meters northeast of the Parchim.Damm road.2 5- Veh:tcular traffic observed involved: 25X1 25X1 C urent,, Since late July 1954, some twin-jet aircraft have b'en observed shim airfield which is occupied by a fighter regiment. From the description received, the aircraft were then believed to be Ii..28; this assumption is suprorted by the present report. It has not been determined where the aircraft came from or for what purpose they were to be employed.
