1. The following shipments of personnel were observed at the Dailgow-
-Doeberitz railroad station between 6 and 12 October 1954:

20 converted boxcars with approximately 300 trained soldiers wearing

At 1915, 20 converted boxcars with approximately 300 trained soldiers

11 October. Twenty converted boxcars with recruits, from Fuerstenberg
to Doeberitz.

personnel exchange of the 1st Mecz Div and the 2d Light Arty Brig.
2. Animal pictures as troop symbols are observed for

3. Comment. Between 7 and 10 October, units of the 18th Mecz

Army probably transferred to their winter quarters. The present
information indicates that the Wittstock training grounds had been
vacated prior to 10 October.
4. ~_~Coommment. The information on the occupation of the installation
contradicts observations by the same source of early October and
railroad records according to which the unite of the 94th Gds Mtz
Rifle Div stationed in Wismar did not participate in the exercises
of the Third Shock Army from late September to early October.
According to the present report the units concerned did participate
since the date of the return checks with information on the
retransfer of other participating units. The units which entered
the Flak Kaserne belonged to the 199th Gds Gun Arty Regt and the 288th
Gds Mtz Rifle Regt.
