The airfield is 2,400 meters long and 1,200 meters wide. There are two concrete runways 50 meters wide made of 10 by 10 concrete slabs whose joints are tarred. There is a distance of 300 meters between the two runways which run north and south. The eastern runway was ripped up in the middle of 1953 and lengthy repairs were made. 2. These hangars, 75 by 35 meters, are of concrete, steel frame, with corrugated sheet metal roofs and with sheet steel sliding doors facing the airfield. Construction of a fourth hangar was started in the spring of 1954. Adjoining buildings of 2-stories containing offices and storage space, are built onto the west side of the hangars. Two 3-story barracks buildings and a row of garages, 150 meters long, are. located on the north side of the field. The 3-story buildings are 80 by 20 meters, have a flat roof, and two staircases. Foundations have been completed for two additional barracks buildings to be erected on this site. The headquarters building, 35 by 15 meters, is located on the north side of the field. This building also contains quarters for the airfield guards. 3. On the west side of the field there are parking spaces for 60 fighter planes and 15 transport planes which are protected by earth mounds and planted with shrubbery. 4.
