The USSR has placed an order for seven hydrogenerators at the Ganz Electrical Equipment Factory in Budapest. The hydrogenerators are for the power generating plants built in connection with the new Volga dams. 2. The first model was delivered in April 1954. It was disassembled, loaded on Soviet barges, and transported via the Danube. 3. Around the middle of May 1954, the Ganz factory sent a group of eight engineers and 100 mechanics to the USSR to reassemble the generators.
