1. Executive Staff
The director of the works Henry Henrion.*as left the plant for a new appointment.
It is rumored that he will become the head of the Central Administration of
Large Enterprises in Saxony-Anhalt.
Henrion is being replaced by Koch, the present head of the Main Machine Depart-
ment (Hauptmechanik) of the Works. It is not known if Koch is a member of the
SED.

4. Research and Development
A new, so-called quick-burning method (Schnellbrennverfahren) is being tested,
where the electrode burning is completed in one week and results of the same
quality obtained as by the previous methods. The outcome of this is not yet
known.
Customers complain about the quality of the Stampfmasse and therefore new
experiments are being conducted.
The proportions of grain sizes in the mixtures are being re-checked.
The shaking machines, which have been developerl "PcPntly. have r n redesigned
for vibration; it is now possible to measure the separability (Entmischbarkeit),
exactly.
