probably carried contingents of the 8th
s v x for combat firing pr otice. It is noteworthy
that s firing practices are being conducted this late. Compare with 25X1
the information on a movement of AAA units from the area of the First
bids Meez Army to the Wustrow AAA Range after :l October 1954 which was previous]y
reported. It can thue be concluded that no
major field exercises will probably be held in the area of the army in
October 1954.

Cor?~me}tit., Gn 5 Octotar 1954, four ~:ro.p trains were loaded at 25X1
e S endel railroad station with cm onent of the 32d AAA Div and
went eastward. Te units had participated 25X1
in the maneuvers or the Third Shock Army,. Observations on the
Loewenberg Tsrppl n railroad line indicated that the light units
probably returned to Kuestrin leaving `Berlin,, to the south, while,
according to th ;present report, the Medium units were transported to
Frankfurt/Oder leaving Berlin to the north.

Comment. The four troop trains from 2Jernburg to Alten rab Pea
were previously reported. The movement of a..,, element of the
unidentified engineer regiment of the GSFO -to the Tangerhuette
area was probably connected with the often .^eported assembling of
engineer units of the GSFG and engineer units of various armies
which concentrated in the Burg - Ferchiand section of the Elbe
River in . con junction with the fall maneuver' of the Third Shock
Army. Onabout 22 September 1954, motor vehicles and equipment of
the unidentified engineer regiment of the G'`.FG from Bern-burg were
obeerved at Letzling Heath and to the north during field exercises
which, besides other units, were held by th.y reinforced 7th Gds Tit
Dive The troop trains from Bernburg on 13 So,,ptember 1954 probably
carried the engineer unit to the abovo field exercises.
Comment? The railroad-cars which wer :~ made available by the
Magdeburg railroad district headquarters were used for the transportation
of troops, ether ,termination of the maneuvers of the Third Shock Army,
and for the present personnel exchange movement.
