The following observations were made in the Wittenberg military post and at Wittenberg airfield between 8 September and 5 October 1954 25X1 8 to 23LS?! .r. 4he Brueekenkopf Kaserne was occupied by air force soldiers. The unit in the installation still furnished the guards for the railroad station and the patrols for the town. Six to 8 courist- aircraft were counted on the field near the Brueeke*kopf Kaserne. Almost every days, groups of 15 to 30 air force officers and administrative officers used the express train which left Halle at 0923. Some of the officers 25X1 returned on the some day and most of them returned on the next day. 22 ?Mtember ,5 October, No changes were observed in the occupation of the Brueckenkeppt B erne. The airfield was occupied by 5 or 6 courier aircraft which daily conducted individual flights. After nightfall, searchlights were in operation while air activity was performed. 2.
