Comment It has not been clarified whether Frankenberg or Falkenberg
(ALt Loennitz i4neant. A former German auxiliary airfield, covering an area
of about 1,500 meters from west to east and about 1,000 meters from north to
south, is located near the eastern exit of Frankenberg, about 2 km from the
center of the town. Frankenberg is about 12 km northeast of Chemnitz. The
airfield is bordered by the Frankenberg-Freiberg road to the north, According
to the last report of August 1948, the field area was to be released for
gardening.
