Machine Construction, the categories of employees who are prohibited from visiting
the West Sector of Berlin have been considerably extended. Up to a recent date
only the heads of Main Administrations and gain Departments and a few selected
employees were prohibited from going there.- Now all employees of the rank of
Referent or above have also been requested to "sign the follcwing declaration:
"I hereby undertake the obligation not to enter the-West Sector of %erlin. I
am aware that non-compliance with this obligation-will be considered. an act
hostile to the interestpof the German Democratic Republic (DDR feindlich)".
