The Ministry for Heavy Industry, it was learned on 20 October, was moving into
thr Neue Verwaltun~ Building, 19 Grafenauer Weg, in the Karlshorst compound.
2. The Neuc Verwaltunp was originally scheduled to house the East Berlin komen-
datura and KVP liaison officers. Many of the latter had already moved in
when the order assigning the building to the Ministry for Heavy Industry was
issued.
3. The komendatura is now in possession of Buildings 2, 3, 4 and 8 of the
Headquarters Compound in Karlshorst. The MUD is now in the pros-ss of
reconditioning Building 7. The KVP was to have talon over the entire
Headquarters Compound, but these plans have now been changed. While the
-KVP is still occupying Building 1, no large-scale influx of KVPIS into the
compound has taken place.
