At about 1700, a twin-engine low-wing monoplane with single rudder assembly,, cabin windowsand extended landing gear was observed flying from west to northeast at an latitude of about 500 meters. There was a slight overcast, good visibility and wind velocity of force 5 to 6. 31 August. Twice that day, a single-engine high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear, and open cockpit and Polish markings was seen "lying from southeast to northeast at an altitude of about 200 meters. 2 September. An aircraft of the type seen on 31 lugust approached from the west and headed to the southeast at an altitude of about 200 meters. 2 September. Between 1000 and 1600, numerous vapor trails were seen in the west at very high altitudes. The sky was cloudbess and there was wind velocity of force 2 to 3. The vapor trails spread out into the overcast later on. Although no aircraft were seen or heard it was believed that there was air activity. Comment. The aircraft observed are probably located at the Stettin- amm airfield. This field is very probably a commercial airfield which is also used by smaller aircraft and gliders for premilitary training purposes. Approved For Release 2007/08/14: CIA-RDP80-00810A005400820009-6
