Corps headquarters of the Hungarian People's Army identified prior to December 1953 included a corps headquarters in Szlkesf eh&rvlr (. 48'Z 00), another in Kecskem4t (Y 6/N 95), a third in Debrecen (R 481K 40), and an armored corps headquarters. The Sze4kesfeh4rvHr 25X1 army corps was organized into the corps headquarters which was stationed at SzAesfeh~rvgr, the corps artillery regiment which was stationed at Dombovnr (Y 5'B 16), the corps observation battery which was stationed at Dombovir, a rifle division which was stationed at Jutas (P 481D 68) in November 1953, a rifle division which was stationed at "Narczali (Y 4/A 68) in October 1953, and a rifle division wl'ieh was stationed at Nagykanizsa (Y 4/A 26) in December 1953.1 The Kecskem6t army corps included the corps headquarters which was at tioned at KecskemA, t-e o:rps artillery regiment, the corps observation battery, the corps tank unit and the corps air force unit all of which were stationed at Kecskedt, a rifle division which was stationed at KecskemAin the spring of 1953, a rifle division which was stationed at Kiskoeroes (Y 6/N 52) in April 1953, and a rifle division which was stationed at Xiskuist'elepthLa (y 7 /0 03). The Kecskemet corps headquarters was located in the building of the former f?eal.gymnasium (high school), and the corps artillery regiment and the corps tank unit were stationed at the so-called"barracks town" in recskemJt.2 The Debrecen army corps was organized into the corns headquarters which had POB 1717 in November 1953, the corps artillery regiment, and the corps observation battery all of which were stationed at Debrecen, a rifle division which was stationed at Debrecen, and a rifle division which was stationed at ?syiregyhAza (R 48,/K 55).3 In the fall of 1953, the armored corps included a corps headquarters, presumably a corps artillery regiment and a corps observation battery both of which were stationed at Petervasara (C 491J 37), a division headquarters which was stationed at Esztergom (Q 48/Z 27), a division headquarters which was stationed at Gyoengyoes (0. 48/J 24), and a division headquarters which was stationed at Karczag (R 48/0 98).4 Approved For Release 2008/04/08: CIA-RDP80-00810A005500200010-1 the wiiitary-labor service units were dissolved in November 1951 Pursuant to the provisions of the dissolution decree, labor servicemen who only served a year's term allegedly also had to be discharged.
