1. On 20 October 1954, a special (Sonderkollektiv) for electronics develop-.
ment was organized in VEB Werk fuer Signal-und Sicherungstechnik in Berlin-
Treptow, one of the enterprises under Main Administration for Radio and Tel-
ecommunications Technology in the Ministry for Machine Construction.' The
main task of this'team is the development of automatic electronic devices for
telecommunications
