The Executive Bureau of the, International Union of.Building:Trades held
a meeting early in September in Budapest, at which. they decided to'hold a
conference of building, construction materials and wood'industry workers on
17-23 March 1955 in East Berlin. The commur;ists expect.at least 300 representatives
from .various countries at this meeti:ng. The riain,subject of the conference will
be the international and national unity.of workers, and its promotion. The
conference plans. to select a directorate of the internationaI - union, and will
take up,t-he financial report for. the previous yea.r`. The' conference reported I v
