Information
Those fields of trainin;; in which the respective unit had failed. to
attain the trainin, status required prior to the spring inspection 25X1
were made a part of the fall inspections at the mechanized regiments
of Division Eggeain. Several ;;enerale and, in late ;;epteraber, also
T.:inister of the Interior Stoph were present at the inspections which
lasted until 3 October. As was the case in the preceding years, tkie
best a;~regate results at exercises and inspection wire attained by the
1st 1;ecz Refit; In consideration of these achievezaents, officers, PtGOs
an3 ELi of this unit received valuable awards. dt the 2d ~tecz Ragt, 25X1
special mention was made of the goad status of training; of the tank
battalion.
4. During the night of 30 September, a eorps?~level command-post exercise,
which was scheduled to be held in the Neubrandenburg area-from 30
September to 2 October, was called ofa~ for unknown reasons.
