In late October 1946, Construction Staff No 104 from Karlshagen was charged-
with dismantling work of the Peenemuende rocket testing station. In 1949
when dismantling work was completed, the construction staff was redesignated
Construction Staff No 101. There is also the possibility that Staffs Nos
101 and 104 were merged.
Prior to July 1950, Construction Staff No 101 built the outer freight ring
of the Oranienburg-Buch railroad line. At that time, the staff was stationed
in Schoenewalde, south of Basdorf/Niederbarnim. In July 1950, the staff
was transferred to Schwarzenberg to construct the second track of the
Aue-Johanngeorgenstadt line. In November 1951. the staff started construction
work on the Paritz-Niederneuendorfer by-pass canal. In July 1952, it was
charged with construction work at Vietmannsdorf airfield.
