There was no air activity. 125X1 monoplanes were parked in front of the hangars. About 20 Soviet soldiers In the summer of 1951, an airfield was located southwest of Turkeve 25X1 (47006, N/20044' E), the landing field extended about 800 meters from southwest to northeast and 300 meters from southeast to northwest. The northeastern edge of the field was about 200 meters distant from the south- -western perimeter of Turkeve, the northwestern edge about 100 meters distant from the Turkeve-Mezoetur (47?00' N/20?38' E) road. Two hangars with vaulted roofs were located at the northeastern edge of the field. No other buildings were seen at the field. On the day of observation, 3 single-engine Soviet soldiers, presumably stationed at the airfield, 25X1 were quartered in the town. Comment. There is only scanty information on Turkeve airfield. The 25X1 location of the field as indicated in the present report is possible with regard to the terrain and probably correct.
