In late October 1954, it was learned that the single-track Wriezen-
-Jae~ickendorf railroad line which crosses the Oder River and which wt:.s

dismantled at the end of the war will be rebuiltb RBD Berlin will be ~.n
charge of the ?rlriezen -Alt Ruednitz section which included the railroad
bridge over the Oder River, the roadbed was still essentially intact on
this stretch but the bridge must be completely rebuilto The bridge which
will have to be 350 meters long, is scheduled to be rebuilt as a stee]_
structure resting on concrete ;piers. Concreting week on the bridge had been
under way for some tin^ie, but track laying work had begun only recently. It
was expected that the T~lriezen -Alt P.uednitz section of the railroad 1_ine
including the railroad bridge would be eom~~leted in about the sprint; of 1-`~5.
