the regiment included 30 NCOs and Ei,i wao came from the aor.,,endatura on
Alexanderdlatz in Berlin, and about 60 officers wo=o came from the
Oranienburg, Treptow and Erfurt officer schools. Only 20 officers
stayed with toe regiment, wiiile the other 40 officers were reassigned
to units which were stationed at Pinnow and Torgelow. 1 and 2
4. From 4 to 11 November, a training course for company leaders was
held in Torgelow under the direction of .,lajor Itzekiel (fnu) from
the division headquarters. 3
5. Regular service activity was not resumod after the discharges. The
new training year was scheduled to begin on 1 December 1554-
6. In late October, 15 men were dispatched to the Berlin area in an
effort to recruit volunteers for the KTP. Nationalized plants and
administrative agencies here mainly subjected to the recruiting
campaign, termination of which was scheduled for late November 1:;54. 4

1.1 Comment. If the statements cover ail changes of personnel,
the number of inductees exceeds the number of disciiargees by about
50. Considering reassignments, the arithmetic result is coin,aited
at a reduction of the regimental strength by about 150 men. It is
believed that, in fact, the actual strength exceeds the ration strength
figures indicated in running; reports which are subject to short-tare
fluctuations.

Co.ament. The lst Inf Regt is stationed at Pinncw and the
other units of the division are stationed at lorgelow-Droegeheide.
Lajor Itzekiel (fnu) has been mentioned in a previous resort 3c'
J,,ly 1954 as captain and officer on special assignment at the
headquarters of infantry Division Prenzlau.
Co.wient. Other units have also dispatched recruiting 50X1-HUM
detachments.
