1. VEB P~nkwerk Eoepenigk oontracted to deliver before the end of 1954 a number of
EN-3 transmitters to the USffii and Pbhaad. The E1~3 transmitter is an unproved
development of the Elt-ti2 trananitte~, ~ioh is a short-wave trara~itter with
several l~re~quenay ranges betvesn 20 aid 80 meters and an output sot exceeding

the tubes for the 1C1~3 tranevnittera to be eoq~orted. In August 1954, the enter-
prise delivered several sample tubes wit they were~of suoh poor quality that
they could not be used. Raul 8$er ,manager of VES P~nkwerk lGoepeniak, there-
upon cancelled the delivery order to fie ~' enterprise and made arrangements with
11EB I~lnnlcwerk Erfurt to have the tranarlltter tstrodea delivered tiara there.
3. There were twenty EN-3 traasmittera at oEB ~nkvsrk boepsniok oaapleted and
ready for shipment as of earJ,y Dsoemb~e 1951,, but the tetrod~ for them were
still missing.. Eeah tran?itter needs trio tetrodea. In ear~jr Diwesiber 1954 25X1
