Ithe entrained units belong to the Rear Services of the GSFG and possibly came from the Adolf 'Iitler Kaserne (2287) in Potsdam. If the assumption that the transfer of the unit mentioned in paragraph 2 is connected with the entraining is correct, a signal unit of the GSFG possibly transferred prom Potsdam to Leipzi-r-47iederitzsch. Comment. or information on the transfer of this un't, see Comment 1. The kaserne was possibly vacated for reoccupdtjon by an air force unit. Except for Lieutenant Colonel (?) Zevakin (fnu), all officers mentioned are reported for the first time. Comment. Previous reports indicate that the train is probably identical with a train which carried artillery pieces from Potsdam to Schwerin on 24 November 1954. The 34tt Arty Div possibly turned over artillery pieces to the IX Mtz Rifle orps in Schwerin. On 18 November 1954, the division receiv '5 gun howitzers of 152 mm from the USSR. The number of the prime mover possibly oeiongs o e s r rig of the corps which was probably the consignee. No definite c elusions can be drawn about how many artillery pieces of various type and caliber arrived at the GDR from the USSR and how many artillery units were newly equipped. Comment. The artillery pieces either were consigned to the 2d Light Arty Brig 1st Mecz Div. The shipments probably belong to the reequipment ich is commented on in F]Comment 3.
