the best m=775 and consists of soap, hors dloeurre, roast pork
bread, and a quarter-bottle of vermouth. Other meals drop as low as 2.60 lei
and consist of a beef broth and bread.
2. The following are the rationed and free market prices of food products,
Black bread 2 lei
White bread 2.50 lei
Rios 9 lei (free market
Sugar (per kilo) 9.50 lei (free market
Meat 3.80 lei - 10 lei (free market)
Pork (with ration

3. The market in Braila was sufficiently stocked in beef, pork, bacon and lard.
To take care of the requirements of the local population there is no need to
stand in line for these items.
4. The cost of a man's suit of medium quality is 1,000 to 1,200 lei. A medium
grade pair of shoes is 2,000 lei and a cheap watch is 800 lei.
