RD REFERENCES HE SOURCE EVALUATIONS IN THIS REPORT ARE DEFINITIVE. THE APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. 1. A landing field located north of Povazska Bystrica.. (N 4+9-07, E 18-27) was established in 1950. The landing field has a grass surface covering an-area 600x600 m. The southern boundary of the landing field is formed by a field track running parallel to and about 400 m. north of the river Vah. The western boundary is formed by another field track running along the eastern slopes of Horka Hill (elevation point 471) and leading from the village of Orlovv (N 49-51, E 18-26) to Povazake Podhradie :('N 49-09, E 18-28). Approximately at the center of the southern boundary is a hangar with a curved roof. Next to the hangar is a mast flying a wind sock. The landing field is bordered on the north and east by open fields The boundaries are marked at intervals with red and white wooden ground markers. -- ~-_- r ~~~ ??rs??Ies-~+~ a u, llg _u_jcAat mi~.i%sry. earcrait, participlited in an air display. Since then, the landing field has been used for sporting events and air displays put on by the Czechoslovak Air Force, during which single-engine piston aircraft and twin-engine Biebel aircraft landed and took off. The management of the Povazska Bystrica engineering plant' is taking over the landing field and plans its extension in the northeastern direction.
