2. On 18 October 1954, it appeared that completely uninhabited places in the area of
the Muschaken (R 54/E 71) &sounds of the Polish Army included the 25X1
towns of Ulleschen (R 54 enau, R 54/E 81), Puehallowen (R 54/
E 81) and Kannwiesen"(R 5 , AW 1954, the town of Kanawiesen was
completely destroyed. In 4. civilians had free access to the whole area of
the troop training grounds. Paths which crossed this area led from Wallendorf
(R 54/E 71) via Kannwiesen to Willem ierg (R 54/E 91) and from Wallendorf via
Ulleschen to Wyohrowitz (R 54/E 71). On 17 October 1954, a civilian who picked
up mushrooms on the perimeter of the troop training grounds between Wallendorf and
Omulefofen (R 54/E 72) was shot by soldiers. Soldiers who included Polish immigrants
and some Germans were perpetually stationed at Musohaken. Other troops were located
in Jaegersdorf (R 54/E 71)? 25X1
lComment. According to publications in the press, all decrees which contained
provisions restricting active military service of German young persons were repealed
in 1954. From now on, these persons will possibly be drafted to an increasing extent
into field units, while they have hitherto been assigned mainly to military labor
