2. The planes took off in relays in groups of'seven, climbing at an angle of 25X1
400. Two planes took off almost simultaneously, probably from parallel
runways, and a single plane took off last. Two or three groups took off every
one and one-half hours. The planes flew well in formation and were apparently
flown by experienced pilots.
3. There were no naval vessels in Riga harbor During 25X1
the night, a small motorboat with lights extinguished lay between the airfield
and Andrejosta quay, where merchant ships were berthed. On the quay, there
were ten five-ton cranes moving on frames and spanning three sets of sunken
railroad tracks of normal width.
