5? There was a trawler in the outermost dock, and there were several ether
apparently new trawlers in the shipyard. Outside the outermost dock lay
a merchant ship of about 1,000 to 5,000 tone, apparently completely new.
Many smaller ships lay in the shipyard bay.
6. The boat-building yard in the Dvina is member 112
Here there were five or six steel ships on the slips. They
were all the same type, about 35 feet long, with a small pilot house,
and no mast or stack. The aft part of the hull was xmzch shallower than
the forward part. Two propellers hung in rings stuck out from the ledge
between the two parts of the bottom. The rudder was all the way aft.
The ships were lying with the stern toward the main channel so it was
not easy to see the bow. there was
nothing unusual about it. The ships were painted with red lead and seemed
almost finished (see sketch).
