1. Between 0830 and 1500 on 23 December 1954, no aircraft could be seen at Bad
1beIau airfield because of poor visibility. There was a 10/10 overcast at an
altitude of about 800 meters, rain until 1000, southwesterly wind of 15 km/h
and visibility of only about 400 meters. There was no air activity.
2. The following observations were made at Bad Voeslau:
Gainfarn Castle was guarded by a sentry who wore black-bordered blue epaulets.
One truck and 1 van-like truck were parked in the area of the castle. Two
majors wearing blue-bordered blue epaulets, and van-like truck 25X1
and truck both of them with drivers wearing black-bordered blue 25X1
epaulets were seen in traffic at the installation. The gates of building No 25
on Hoch Strasse were closed. Jeep with driver wearing black-bordered 25X1
blue epaulets parked in front of the building. Building No 11 on Gainfarn
Strasse appeared to be unoccupied. Part of the windows were broken. Two captains
who wore blue-bordered blue epaulets and came from Voeslau Castle entered
building No 12 on Wiener Neustaedter Strasse. Sedan with driver 25X1
wearing black-bordered blue epaulets parked in front of the building. Voeslau
Castle was guarded by a sentry wearing black-bordered blue epaulets. Four
trucks, 3 vantllike trucks and 2 jeeps were parked in the area of the castle.
One major wea ng red-bordered black epaulets, 1 major (mod) and 2 majors
wearing blue-bordered blue epaulets, jeep occupied by personnel 25X1
wearing black-bordered blue epaulets and red-bordered black epaulets, trucks
and van-like truck all of them with 25X1
drivers wearing black-bordered blue epaulets were seen in traffic at the eastle. 25X1
Three soldiers wearing bladk-bordered blue epaulets left buildin No 14 on Bahn
Strasse and proceeded in the direction of the airfield in true 25X1
which had parked in front of the building and was occupied by a driver who
wore black-bordered blue epaulets. Building No 41 on Bahn Strasse was unoccupied.
