The rebuilding of the second-class highway between Brest and Siedlce into a modern first-class highway has continued since the end of 1951. On the -Pelish side, the highway runs via Janow Podlaski, Konstantynow, Losice9 and Mordy. 2. This new highway is between 14-15 meters wide and has a concrete surface about 15 centimeters thick, Repair shops for motor vehicles and gasoline stations have been constructed along the highway. Both repair shops and gasoline stations are reportedly dug down (sic). 3, The work is directed by Military Construction Enterprise No. 11 (Wojskowe Przedsiebiorstwo Budowlane No, 11) in Siedlce and is checked by a Soviet military mission which is also located in Siedlce, I, The labor force is composed of the followings a, Regularly employed engineers, technicians, and skilled workmen, b. Forced labor from concentration camps, etc. c. Military labor battalions, d. Brigades from the SP (Service to Poland). The youths, mainly engaged 25X1 in clearing and excavating, are-relieved after eight weeks of work, ee Contingents from pioneer regiments - among others, from the let-Pioneer Regiment in Wloclawek. These contingents are engaged mainly in construc- ing bridges, The highway will reportedly be extended to Warsaw which probably means reconstruction of the present Siedlce Warsaw highway which runs via Katuszyn and Minsk Mazowiecki, SECRET STATE X I ARMY .
