a. Construction work on a cold storage plant at the harbor was started
in mid-May 1154. Plans call for the erection of,a t'einforeed oonokete
building with the employment of flat slab construction (PlIzdecken-
konstruttion) which necessitates the use of large quantities of wood.
The two wings of the L-shaped plant will be 50 to 60 meters and 15 to
20 meters long, and about 20 meters wide.
2. 150 to 200 workers, members of the Bau-Union 8ueste,v7:n-j employed; only
Bau-Union yrorkers with special pdrmitsvn47e allowed to enter the con-
struction site whichvw..s kept under constant guard.
c. The date which was set for the completion of the plant was 1 November
1954; however, it Ws 'expected that only the framework
finished at that time.
2. Savage-treatment nlan_t in Stralsund: An extensive installation wyis being
built' Construction costs :ucco estimated to amount to 3,000,000 UM.

a. A cold storage installation of the Jantzen firm-"'a.13 located in the suburbs
of Tribsees. Construction work for doubling its space had already been
ptarted, it. September 1954, : the plant. Fats 40 meters long and 30 to 35
meters wide, and conaistld of a basement and two sb&ids. The minimum
teperature in the enlarged plant will be minus 7.degtees centigrade.
4. Sewage-treatment plant in Glows (Rpegen Island): A large plant was constructed
in 1953 sufficient to -service a coarlminity of 159000 to.20,000 inhabitants;

completed n July 1954, The structure hai:. three stories and eortal n -'forty
rocms which is in excess of the needs of Glowe.
6. Barricl:.p in Gl ova: Barracks have been renovated and connecting roads have
been repaired.
7. Water-works in Stahel (%_n_1910): A'water worka for Sassni.tz~x.c being
constructed. Gonstruction.will cost about 800,000.00 E.
