The assumption in the reference report that the 186th s g

is not supported by the present.information,
installations quarters the 497th.,Arty Regt. The regiment or at 25X1
least elements of it reportedly transferred from the Friedrich-
Franz Kaserne to the SeeKaserne in August in connection with the
reequipment of the mortar regiments.. The second unit which, 25X1
according to the present report, was stationed in the quartering
area of the 226th Mort Regt (Unit Stetsenko) may be the 497th
Arty. Regt or the signal battalion. In the latter case, Unit
Besruchko might be identical with the artillery regiment.

omment. (tanks of a new
type T-54s?) at the Gentzrode training area as early as
1 December. These tanks had-arrived iii Neuruppin on 13 November.
Comment. New four-seat sedans, similar to the former
German Wehrmacht Volkswagen were observed in Vogelsang (25th
Tank Div) and Zeithain (9th Tank Div during the second half
of December. Sinee vehicles of this
type were observed with three tank dvisions, it appears
possible that at least the tank divisions will be reequipped.
