1. The 714th Infantry Regiment forms part of the 12th Infantry Division with --" '
headquarters in Karlovy Vary (N 50-13, E 12-54) and consists of three
infantry battalions, regimental artillery, and an N.C.0.'s training school,,

2. The Regiment's barracks are located west of Karlovy Vary near the village of
Tasoviee (N 48-50, E 16-10) and near the north bank of the River Ohre. The
southwest limit of the barracks area is formed by the road connecting Tasovioe
and Dvory I. The location is stated to be Dvory II.
3. The Regiment's equipment includes the following:
20 trucks, Praga AN ton.
25 trucks, Praga RN 2 ton.
5 German cross-country vehicles.
4 Skoda Tudor cross-country vehicles.
1 American jeep.
5 250 cc Jawa motorcycles.
b. Horses: approximately 100 horses: of which 160 were riding horses.
Average age of horses was 9-12 years. The number of horses was
being gradually reduced as new motor transport was allotted. Surplus
horses went to the frontier guard,.
4. The regimental ammunition depot is located west of Karlovy Vary near the
village of Jalovy Dvur, on the main road Karlovy Vary - Loket - Cheb at
elevation point 51.4, on the site of the former hamlet of Ovearna.

(2) One of the former village buildings, 12 x 20;m,, serves as guardhouse.
(3) A second building, 20 x 25 m., has been adapted as the store.

The regimental equipment store is located in Boohov (N 50-09, E 13-03) in a
building lying along the western aide of the village square. A detachment
of 30 men billeted on the second floor guards and services the store, which
is on the ground floor. The material stored there is coftletely new.
