The AA gun emplacement at the southern edge of the landing field was guarded by a sentryzarmed with a submachine gun. The AA guns were covered by 25X1 tarpaulins. nr%ZA 4. The following air activity and aircraft were observed at th4ield between 12 December 1954 and 2 January 1955 12 to 19 Decembers No air activity was observed. 20 December. At 0815, several MiGM15s or II.MiG-15s were aloft. over Erfurt. At 0855, 4 MiG-15a or U-MiG-15s landed at the field at intervals of 1 minute0 21 to 31 December. No air activity was observed. 25 and 25 Deoember..At 0705 on 23 December and at 0730 and 0840 on? 25 December, jet engines were being run-up. Eight to 10 seconds elapsed until the engines were running at full power.. Pill power was maintained for a short time and then the engines were out-off. There temperature was 00 Centigrade. 1 and 2 January. No air activity was observe The radio install:.tion of six masts was still seen in the south-eastern corner of the landing field, north of Peterborn. A radio truck was seen parked in the middle of the masts. A wire extended'. from each mast to the roof of the truck. There, the wires connected to vertical antenna lied--ins about 1 meter hig#} 'A location sketch of the installation was made. There were apparently no changes in the statue of the remaining radio installations. 6. on 1 January,-the guns in'the AA gun emplacement at the southern edge of the landing field were covered by tarpaulins.
