A total of 56 workers were employed at Querfurt airfield on 20 November 25X1
89 on 30 November and 161 on 20 December 1954. Workers stated that the
axis of the runway was to be turned slightly because of a high-tension
line in the flying kafli. It could not be determined whether other preparatory
work was affected by the planned change or not.
Comment. No definite information has been received on the course or k 25X1
length of the runway. It has only been mentioned that the runway was planned
to be the same length as that in Wolfabehringen which is 2,000 meters long.
