b. Utilization of space:
In the basement and on the first floor canned foods were stored. Butter and
lard were kept on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. The attic had an area of 1500
square meters and served as an insulating space, but it could be used as an
emergency storage area.

d. Equipment:
The refrigeration plant was cooled by a force and suction apparatus which was
electrically operated by six turbines. A minumum temperature of 20 degrees
was possible. The plant had its own electric light installation. Each power
unit had 60 HP.
