2. Personalities
a. Lieutenant General Tarasov, Chief of Staff of the GSFG, has been
promoted to the rank of Colonel General.
b. A Major General Filipov arrived in Wuensdorf during August.. The fact
that he was heard to refer to himself as a "chemist" has given rise to
the local assumption that he is connected with chemical warfare,
c. Lieutenant Colonel Zeleznev became the commanding officer of the
M.T. battalion in August*
d. Lieutenant Colonel Bervik has replaced Major Yaromin of the KEU Materials
Section.
