REMARKS
1. On 18 January 1955, sedan ~ driven by a soldier with black-bordered
black epaulets was parked in front of the former Bezirks-Altersheim at
25 Wiener Strasse at Ebreiehsdorf. Three trucks and dependents were seen
in the yard of the installation. Only little activity was observed at
the castle which was guarded by a sentry with red-bordered black epaulets.
A few soldiers went to the castle through the park. Vehicles standtng on 25X1
the square in front of the castle included 12 trucks, 8 van-like trucks,
1 full.-track vehicle and other vehicles which could not be identified.
Sedan 0 driven by a soldier with black-bordered black epaulets
left the square. There was no change in the radio installations, including
the antenna mast with bracings at the southwest corner of the former
Bezirks - Altersheim at 25 Wiener Strasse, the cago aerial antenna north
of the castle, and the long-wire antenna west of the castle which w1 s
connected with the installation by six metallic telephone circuits. 25X1

2. On 18 January, a major and two other officers with black-bordered red
epaulets and three officers with red-bordered black epaulets were observed
at the castle at Laxenburg, The installation was guarded by a sentry who 25X1
wore black-bordered red epaulets. Vehicles observed included 80 trucks,
11 van-like trucks and 30 other vehicles which were parked in the park of
the castle. Maintenance work was done on several vehicles. Vehicular traffic

1. [ jComment. The observation confirms the assumption that Soviet officers' 25X1
dependents are quartered at the former Bezirks-Altersheim at Ebreiehsdorf. 25X1
The antenna installation indicate that elements of the 29th Indep Ra
